Television has arrived for the first time in the remote village of Zardaly in the Batken region. Work to connect the village to terrestrial digital broadcasting was carried out by a subsidiary of OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom”, the Republican Production Association of RRT and RBT, as part of an order from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov.
Zardaly is one of the most inaccessible villages in the country, located in a high-mountainous area and, until now, without a terrestrial television signal due to the lack of electricity. To provide residents with access to digital television, specialists from the Republican Production Association of RRT and RBT built a modern station, installed solar panels and the necessary equipment for receiving and transmitting signals.
Thanks to this, the village residents can now watch the country’s main TV channels in digital quality. The station is powered autonomously by solar batteries, which makes it completely energy-independent.
The project is part of a large-scale effort to develop digital infrastructure and improve communication quality in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
