The tower clock on the OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom” building has temporarily stopped displaying the time. The reason for this is natural wear and tear on the mechanism that moves the hands: the teeth on one of the gears have worn down, causing the clock to stop (see photo).
To restore the clock’s accuracy, the mechanism must be completely replaced with one that has the appropriate technical parameters. The replacement will be carried out on both clock faces. Significant wear has also been observed on the Chui Avenue side—the mechanism is still working, but needs to be replaced.
The company is currently planning to purchase three sets of mechanisms: two for replacement on the dials and one as a spare.
OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom” informs that the work will be carried out after the necessary components have been delivered and thanks the residents and guests of the capital for their understanding.
