This year’s sports event brought unforgettable emotions and dynamic mood into the life of Kyrygztelecom’s employees. The 24th large-scale Spartakiade was held on the shores of the picturesque Issyk-Kul, in which 10 teams from different departments and regional branches of the Company took part. The event, which has already become traditional, was timed to coincide with the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“Not only work strengthens our spirit and our unity, but also sports. Who is engaged in sports, he has a lot of strength and energy to realize all his plans in life. During these days I have seen the determination of our employees and their will to win. I would like to wish everyone not to lose these qualities, as well as good health and success,” said Mr. Nurlan Madaminov, Director General of Kyrgyztelecom OJSC.
For three days the teams competed in such sports as soccer, volleyball, tennis and chess.
The Spartakiada has become not just a sporting event, but also an important part of the corporate culture of Kyrgyztelecom. This event confirmed that a healthy lifestyle, team spirit and ability to work in a collective are indispensable attributes of a successful and modern company.
“Everything went so emotionally and so beautifully that I cannot find words. I am happy that I spent these three days here and watched the Spartakiada. I want to thank the organizers and especially Nurlan Sabyrovich for the fact that despite everything, we hold this event every year for 24 times in a row”, – said in his speech at the closing ceremony of the Spartakiad honored communications worker and former Deputy Minister of Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, Orozbek Kaikov.
According to the results of the Spartakiade, the teams took the following places:
Tennis:
- 1st place Bishkek city telephone network
- 2nd place Production Association of Radio Relay Television and Radio Broadcasting Trunklines
- 3rd place Issyk-Kul regional branch
Volleyball among women:
- 1st place Central Office
- 2nd place Osh regional branch
- 3rd place Chui regional branch
Men’s volleyball:
- 1st place Issyk-Kul regional branch
- 2nd place Jalal-Abad regional branch
- 3rd place Production Association of Radio Relay Television and Radio Broadcasting Trunklines
Soccer:
- 1st place Production Association of Radio Relay Television and Radio Broadcasting Trunklines
- 2nd place Issyk-Kul regional branch
- 3rd place Bishkek city telephone network
In the team competition the 1st place was won by BGTS team, 2nd place by Issyk-Kul regional branch and 3rd place by Production Association of Radio Relay Television and Radio Broadcasting Trunklines.
