On May 20, 2025, the 48th meeting of the Council of Telecommunications and Infocommunications Operators of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) took place in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. Representing the Kyrgyz Republic were Uluzbek Akhmetov, Commercial Director of OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom,” and Anvar Chadaev, Head of the Operations and Technical Department of OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom.”
The event was held on the eve of the international conference M360 Eurasia, organized by the GSM Association (GSMA) in partnership with the RCC.
The meeting was attended by representatives of communications administrations and operators from RCC member states, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Observers from leading international and regional companies were also present, such as JSC “ER-Telecom Holding,” Huawei, Eutelsat OneWeb, RIPE NCC, PJSC “VympelCom,” PIP, and GSMA.
Key issues relevant to the development of the telecommunications industry in the region were discussed. Topics included establishing fair roaming prices, combating fraud in communication networks, developing non-geostationary satellite systems (NGSO), their impact on the market, and approaches to their harmonious use. Another significant topic was the preparation of telecom infrastructure for the adoption of artificial intelligence and its benefits for the industry.
Additionally, the meeting addressed major operator events planned in the region for 2025–2026.
OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom” continues to actively participate in fostering international cooperation in the telecommunications sector, contributing to the shaping of the region’s digital future.
