International Amateur Radio Union held the IARU HF CHAMPIONSHIP competition

       The International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), founded in Paris in 1925 and uniting national amateur radio organizations of 152 countries of the world, held the next international competition IARU HF CHAMPIONSHIP.

         Radio amateurs from 63 countries took part in the competition, and the total number of participants exceeded 6000 people. For the first time a team from Kyrgyzstan, representing the national amateur radio organization, took part in these competitions.

      The competition is aimed at improving the operator and technical experience of radio amateurs, who should establish as many radio links as possible with other amateur radio stations around the world, especially with HQ stations of national amateur radio organizations - IARU members.

          All participants had the opportunity to work for 24 hours, regardless of the number of operators on the station.

         According to preliminary data, the team from Kyrgyzstan took 32nd place in the world standings and 3rd place in Asia, beating such teams as Japan (2 teams), China (5 teams) and the team from the Asian part of the Russian Federation.
