The Kyrgyz Republic was represented at the International Amateur Radio Championship CQ World Wide DX Contes, which was held on October 28-29, 2023. The organizer of these contests is CQ Amateur Radio (USA). Competitions are held annually and more than 35 thousand radio amateurs from all countries of the world, including some islands, participate in them. This year for the first time the Kyrgyz Republic was represented by the team of OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom". Within the framework of the championship representatives of more than 200 countries, being on their territory, should contact as many other participants as possible. Only six bands are used: 1.8, 3.5, 7, 14, 21 and 28 MHz. Communication is considered established when the call signs and control numbers of each zone and territory are called and recorded on the air. The goal of the competition is to establish a connection with the maximum number of participants.
According to the preliminary results of the championship, the team of OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom" established 2596 connections and entered the top five teams of Asia. The final results will be summarized in the nearest future.
